RTBF featured MindSpeakerBCI in a five-minute news segment on brain–computer interfaces. Dr. Arno Libert and Prof. Marc Van Hulle presented our work on wearable-based communication access.
Our approach uses externally worn sensors and does not require a brain implant. This is a difference in design, not evidence that a wearable offers the same performance as an implanted interface or is suitable for every user.
Wearable and implanted systems have different requirements, limitations and risks. The safety, usability and performance of MindSpeaker’s proposed configuration still require appropriate evaluation. We do not claim that non-invasive automatically means risk-free.
