What the demonstration means
MindClick is being developed as a trained selection controller for communication software. The user builds a message by selecting letters, words or symbols. It does not read free-form thoughts or translate an intended sentence directly into speech.
Correction: Earlier wording in this article described direct thought-to-speech and effortless communication. Those descriptions overstated the demonstrated capability and have been corrected. Individual reliability, usability and benefit remain under evaluation.
